Minutes of Sutterton  Parish council meeting on March  1st 2023 held in the Community Lounge at the village hall at 7.00pm

No matters were raised by the Chairman

 

22/145 Apologies for absence and the reasons given

Apologies were received from Cllr. George, Cllr. Rushworth

 

22/146 Receipt of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements pf the Localism Act 2011 and to consider any written requests for dispensations in relation to disclosable pecuniary interests.

None were received

 

22/147 Notes of the last meeting held on February 1st 2023 to be agreed as the minutes

It Was proposed by Cllr Thorpe and  seconded by Cllr. Maltby  that the minutes be signed.

 

22/148 Police Matters

No Police matters were received

 

22/149 Viewpoints on questions from the public

None were received

 

22/150 Reports from the minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising  since the last Meeting

The Chairman reported that the contact details for the person who owns the horses has not been displayed on the gate

 

22/151 Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough information from and matters for County and Borough Councillors

Cllr,. Brookes reported that average speed is to be introduced from Sutterton Roundabout to Surfleet  roundabout., both Cllr’s reported that the increases to the Community Charge are as are as reported to the February meeting.

 

22/152 Correspondence  received which the Council are invited  to respond on National Association of Local Councils – The Kings Coronation  - information on the weekend plans

Boston Borough  - Register of Electors – update Jan 2023

St. Mary’s Church -Flower Festival -it was proposed by InhCllr.Ingham seconded by Cllr. Maltby That a donation be made of £50.00

 

22/153Highway Matters

The pot-holes in park Avenue were reported, members are now reporting highway reports themselves on fix my street.

Cllr. George was not present at the meeting.

 

22/155 Cornation  of King Charles iii

Cllr, Maltby has contacted organisations in the village asking about their proposals for the Coronation  

weekend  - Cllr Maltby has organised a further meeting

 

22/156 Accounts for payment as per sheet 11 of 12 dated February 2023 It was proposed by Cllr.  Maltby and seconded by Cllr. Ingham that the payments be made.

22/157 Inspection Rota - Cllr. Maltby had nothing to report

Llr. Ingham will keep watch on the water butt

The Chairman asked if the Clerk could order a Hiviz coat and organise a volunteer agreement form  for a village resident who is taking part in the Duke of Edinborough scheme

 It was proposedby Cllr.Sands And srconded byCllr. Allen that a donation of  £100.00 be made to the Village hall for bunting for the Coronation.

 

22/158 To Discuss the increase in Cemetery charges, to be discussed at the April meeting

 

22/160 Members agreed with the Clerk’s request to have a meeting in August and to miss September.

The Clerk reported that Mr. Wickes is monitoring the Notice Board

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at approx. 9.20pm

 

The next meeting will be on April 5th 2023 @ 7.00pm in the Community Lounge.
