MINUTES OF SUTTERTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2020

92/20 Chairman’s Comments 

The Chairman opened the meeting by asking Cllr. Ingham if she was better and back at work following her recent fall and subsequent trip to Pilgrim Hospital, Cllr. Ingham replied that she was back at work and feeling a little better.

 

92/20 Apologies for absence and the reasons given

None were received.

 

93/20 Receipt of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, and to consider any written requests for dispensations in relation to members’ disclosable pecuniary interests

None were received.

 

94/20 To Elect a Vice-Chair

Cllr. George proposed by Cllr. Ingham, this was seconded by Cllr. Baker.

Cllr. Thorpe proposed Cllr. Sands this was seconded by Cllr. Watts.

Cllr. Sands was elected Vice-Chair.

 

95/20 Notes of the last meeting held on September 2nd to be approved as the minutes

Cllr. Watts pointed out a typographical error.

It was proposed by Cllr Baker and seconded by Cllr. Fitchett that the minutes be signed.

 

96/20 Police Matters

There were no matters for the Police.

Cllr. George reported that she had informed the Police that it was a Zoom meeting.

 

97/20 Viewpoints on questions from members of the public

There were no members of the public present.

 

98/20 Reports from them minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting

The Clerk has received a quote from Lincolnshire Memorial Maintenance of £688.00 to clean the war memorial.

Action it was unanimously agreed to accept the quote and pay the required deposit of £172.00

 

99/20 Lincolnshire County Council matters and Boston Borough - information from and for County and Borough Councillors.

Cllr. Brookes reported that following his enquiry regarding the patching on Spalding Road, he had asked highways why it hadn’t been resurfaced to be told it was to prepare for the resurfacing which will take place next year.

Cllr. Cooper had nothing to report from Boston Borough Council.

 

99/20 Correspondence received that the Council are invited to resolve on

Anthony Rylance - Unipart regarding the latest version of the software for the Speed Indicator devise.

Action the Clerk forwarded the email to Cllr’s Watts & Senneck

Sophie Miles - BBC regarding the Council’s Corporate Strategy.  The survey to be found at https; www//mybostonuk.com/consultation/

100/20 Speed Detection data

Cllr. Watts reported that he had emailed the couple who had shown an interest in volunteering.

The Chairman informed the meeting that if the Device was charged and displayed, he had somebody that was prepared to download the data.

Cllr. Fitchett asked Cllr’s Senneck and Watts if the devise could be fitted by the weekend (10th/11th October)

 

101/20 Planning

B/20/ 323 Advertisement consent for for 7 fascia signs (6 internally illuminated), 4 Forecourt canopy signs (1 internally illuminates),1 projection hanging sign(Internally illuminated) and 4 window graphics at Unit 1A, Sutterton Services. A17 Station Road Roundabout, PE20 2LN,

The application was discused and Sutterton Parish Council has no objections.

B/20/0320 Erection of pesticide sprayer filling/Wash down building/area at Sakata UK, Spalding Road, Sutterton PE20 2EW  

The application was discussed, and Sutterton Parish Council has no objections

Notification of Planning Appeal Hearing for B/18/0530 Erection of 9 Industrial Reed Point, Spalding Road,Sutterton PE20 2EP

Sutterton Parish Council submitted their comments when it was presented to BBC.

 

102/20 Accounts for payment as per payment sheet 6 of 12 dated September 2020

It was proposed by Cllr. George seconded by Cllr. Sands that the payments be made.

 

103/20 Inspection Rota

Cllr. George on the Inspection Rota reported that she has filled the area around Cllr. Baker’s parents grave.

The Clerk reported she has found out who had been removing the soil, and reminded them that the rules of the Cemetery forbid the moving of soil around any grave 

Cllr. George also reported molehills in the Recreation Field.

Action the Clerk to find a mole-catcher

Due to recent high winds she has done additional checks and filled up the water butt.

 

104/20 Sutterton Cemetery

Cllr. George asked about the Memorial Gardens and asked if it would be possible to have an additional site.

The trees along the Boundary with the Endeavour business park were discussed.

Cllr Cooper is to send the Clerk a phone number of an Arborist.

 

105/20 Matters to report

Cllr. Thorpe asked about the remembrance service.  The Clerk said she believed that services are not being held this year.

Action the Clerk to contact the Royal British Legion

The work required on the Cemetery Gates was discussed

Action Cllr. Senneck is to provide a quote, the item will be an Agenda item on the November Agenda Cllr. Thorpe asked about the painting of the bus shelter.

Response the Clerk is in contact regarding the Artwork

Cllr. Baker reported the man-hole cover near the Doctor’s.  Cllr. George is aware of the man-hole cover.

Cllr. Senneck asked about the owner of the land in Waterbelly Lane.

 

105/20 Matters for Inclusion in the November Agenda

The Cemetery Gates

Cllr. Baker asked for Stone Lane to be on the Agenda

Cllr. Thorpe asked for the sub-committee to be included

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at approx. 8.45pm

The next meeting will be on Wednesday November 4th, 2020 at 7.00pm in the Community Lounge
