THE MINUTES OF SUTTERTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 1st 2021 AT 7.00PM IN THE COMMUNITY LOUNGE

Public Forum  134/21

The back filling of graves was raised as several graves in the Cemetery need attention.  The Council were asked what they were doing about speeding along Station Road.

The grass cutting in the Spires was also queried.

 

135/21 Chairman’s Comments

The Chairman reported that most of his comments had been raised in the public forum as they regarded the Cemetery.  He thanked Gary for moving the mats in the playground and levelling the graves

 

136/21 Apologies for absence and the reasons given

Apologies were received from Cllr. Allen, Cllr. Baker & Cllr. Thorpe

The members of the public left the meeting.

 

137/21 Receipt of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, and to consider any written requests for dispensations in relation to members disclosable pecuniary interests

None were received

 

138/21 Notes of the last meeting held on November 3rd, 2021, to be approved as the minutes

It was proposed by Cllr. George seconded by Cllr. Fitchett that the minutes be signed.

 

139/210 Police Matters

There were no matters for the Police other than the speeding along Station Road which was raised in the Public Forum

 

140/21 Viewpoints on matters raised by the public

Action The Clerk to email the Police and Cllr. Brookes regarding the speeding

And to re-new the grass cutting contract

 

141/21 Reports from the minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting

 

142/21 Lincolnshire County Council Matters and Boston Borough -information from and for County and Borough Councillors

 

143/21 Correspondence received which the Council are invited to resolve on

LCC Consultation on the proposal to expand the capacity at Fourfields Church of England School, Sutterton

Cllr. Brookes by email forwarded a letter from Highways following a request by Algarkirk Parish Council for a pedestrian crossing to the Roadside services.

Action The matter was discussed, and it was agreed that in the interest of safety Sutterton Parish Council Agreed with the findings of Highways in the interest of safety it would be best to leave things as they are. The Clerk to respond to Cllr. Brookes.

 

144/21 Highway Matters

Cllr. George reported The Pothole on Stanley Drive has not been filled.

The Road sign for Cherry Holt Lane hasn’t been repaired and streetlights no’s 6 and 18 need attention.

 

145/21 Speed Detection data The Clerk is still waiting for a response from Uni-part Dorman regarding training.

 

146/21 Community Speed Watch Data

The Clerk to produce a poster looking for volunteers the poster to be displayed on the Notice Board & Website

 

147/21 Planning

B/21/0452 Erection of single storey side extension at 13, Rainwall Court, Sutterton, PE20 2EG The application was discussed by Sutterton Parish Council who have no objections.

Action the Clerk to inform the Borough

 

B/19/0383/CD1 Application to approve details relating to condition 3 (Construction Method Plan & Method Statement C8(Design, Construction & Drainage),C13(Foul & SurfaceWater Drainage, C15, Public Open Space), C16((Biodiversity enhancement Plan), C18(Materials ()& C20 (Pollution reduction) of planning application permission B/19/0383 at Land at Station Road, Sutterton, PE20 2EU

The application was discussed and Sutterton Parish Council has no objections.

Application refused by BBC has now gone to appeal

Action the Clerk to inform the Planning Department

It was proposed by Cllr.  Fitchett seconded by Cllr. 149/21 Matters for report

Cllr. Fitchett on the Inspection Rota reported that the seats in the playing field needed redoing.  It was proposed by Cllr. Ingham and seconded by Cllr. Fitchett that the work be done.  Nothing is seriously wrong, it looks nice and neat, Cllr. Fitchett offered to carry on with the inspection until the middle of December, he will then pass the book to Cllr. George.

Village Planters - the planters have been treated.

Sutterton Cemetery

Action The Clerk to issue the amended grass cutting details to seek quotes for the 2022 season and to ask again for prices for extending the roadway to the bottom of the cemetery.

 

Matters for Incusion in the January Agenda.

The Clerk explained that the Co-option of members to Sutterton Parish Council will be on the agenda as will the Precept.

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at approx. 8.50pm

 

The next meeting will be on Wednesday January 5th, 2021 in the Community Lounge
