MINUTES OF SUTTERTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY JULY 7TH AT 7.00pm IN THE COMMUNITY LOUNGE

64/21 Public Forum
No members of the public were present. Cllr. Sands has been informed that the Berridge Footpath needs trimming
65/21 Chairman’s Comments
Cllr. Fitchett reported the plants are growing well and looking nice, as Cllr. Fitchett is presently having problems with his mobility he asked for a volunteer a to water the planters at the Endeavour Park, Cllr. George volunteered.
66/21 Apologies for absence and the reasons given
Apologies were received from Cllr. Cooper – BBC.
67/21 Receipt of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011 and to consider any written requests for dispensations in relation to members disclosable pecuniary interests.
None were received.
68/21 Notes of the meeting held on June 9th 2021 to be approved as the minutes
It was proposed by Cllr. Ingham seconded by Cllr. George that the minutes be signed.
69/21 Matters for the Police
Cllr. Thorpe asked about the road accident recently at Greenacre Close
Action The Clerk to email the Police and ask for details
70/21 Viewpoints on questions from members of the public
No members of the public were present but Cllr, Sands has been asked about the Berridge footpath which needs trimming
Action The Clerk to contact the Contractor
71/21 Reports from the minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting
Cllr. Allen was asked if she would be prepared to join the Playing Field committee as a Parish Council representative.
Action Cllr. Allen is prepared to join the Committee as a Parish Council Representative
72/21 Lincolnshire County Council Matters and Boston Borough – Information from and for County and Borough Councillors
None were given.
73/21 Correspondence received which the Council are invited to resolve on
BBBC – Empowering Healthy Communities Councillor Grants scheme
Action the Clerk to forward the scheme to all Councillors

The three year terms for Peter Cropley and Cllr. Baker are coming to an end, as Cllr. Baker is ineligible for renomination it was suggested that Penny Fountain be nominated
Action it was proposed by Cllr. Sands seconded by Cllr. Thorpe that Mr. Cropley continues as a Trustee
Deirdre McCuskey, Cllr. Baker has not attended a meeting for 2.5 years – Penny Fountain has been suggested as a nominated trustee.
Park Estate Residents Association – complaints- regarding pot-holes.
Action the Clerk to respond the pot-holes have been reported to Highways and are not considered sufficient to require action
A resident regarding public open spaces in Sutterton
Action the matter was forwarded to all members it was decided to invite the resident to the September meeting
Cllr, Brookes forwarding an email from Mick Phoenix regarding Sutterton Roundabout - it appears that people contacting CP Media signs were talking about different roundabouts.
A former resident regarding the upkeep of the graves of his parents
Action The Clerk to reply to the gentleman

74/21 Highway Matters
Quad bikes are being used to spray the roadsides.
Pot holes near the grass around the pumping station on Stone Lane needs trimming.
Only important items will be dealt with.
The bushes on Post Office Lane need trimming.
The drain near the bus stop is blocked.
75/21 Speed Detection Data
Cllr. George reported the sign is now on Station Road.
76/21 Community Speed Watch
The Clerk has not had a reply from the co-ordinator.
77/21 Planning
B/21/0287 Proposed erection of single storey office building with adjoining warehouse/store at Land adjacent to Straja, Broad Lane, Sutterton
The application was discussed, Councillors had concerns regarding the access.

It was proposed by Cllr. Baker seconded by Cllr. George that the payments be made.

79/21 Inspection Rota for the Cemetery and Play equipment
Cllr. Ingham on the Inspection Rota reported no problems.
Cllr. Fitchett reported that he believed that the damaged Cherry Tree was growing.
Cllr. George reported that the picket fence is still in the cemetery.
It was suggested that spray paint be purchased to paint over the graffiti in the playground
Cllr. Fitchett reported that
- 35 Park Avenue needs its hedge trimming
- 36 Park Avenue Garden in a mess with thistles
- 17 Maidens Road needs attention
Action the Clerk to email Mark Plummer at LHP
80/21 Village planters to be moved to the September Agenda
The meeting closed at approx. 8.45pm the Clerk reminded all that the next meeting will be on Wednesday Sept. 1st, 2021, in the Community Lounge.
