MINUTES OF SUTTERTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 6TH 2021 AT 7.00PM IN THE COMMUNITY LOUNGE

97/21 Public Forum Cllr. Sands has been made aware by a resident about the amount of rubbish that is on Boston Road near the bus stop (the nearest litter bin is near the bus shelter).
98/21 Chairman’s Comments The chairman welcomed all to the meeting. The planters have been replanted, and next year the old part of the cemetery should be cut more often.
99/21 Apologies for absence and the reasons given
Apologies were received from Cllr. Thorpe and Cllr. Brookes.
100/21 Receipt of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, and to consider any written requests for dispensations in relation to members’ disclosable pecuniary interests
None were received.

It was proposed by Cllr. Baker seconded by Cllr. Fitchett that the minutes be signed.
102/21 Matters for the Police
No matters were received.
103/21 Viewpoints on questions from members of the public
Action it was proposed by Cllr. Sands and seconded by Cllr. George that the Clerk contact the Borough with the request
104/21 Reports from the minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting

105/21 Lincolnshire County Council Matters and Boston Borough Councillors
Cllr. Cooper reported that he has received reports that Envirotyre are parking on land that is not theirs and has therefore reported it.
106/21 Correspondence received which the Council are invited to resolve on
BBC - Register of Electors September 2021
Lorraine Bush - asking for parishes that have a Beacon that could be lit to mark the Queens Platinum Jubilee
BBC – Development off Station Road – Sutterton – suggestions requested for road names on the development
A resident- regarding gaps in the rubber matting around the roundabout and requesting a traffic regulation order for yellow lines
Action the Meeting discussed the letter - the gaps in the matting are not dangerous, the matting needs lifting and re-setting
The traffic regulation order would be very hard to monitor, as the village has no traffic wardens

Cllr. George reported on the following
- street light 8 in Glebe Way has been fixed
- street light in Stone Lane not fixed.
- Rosegar Avenue street sign not fixed
- cover hanging off street light near Waterbelly Lane fixed
- Cherry Holt lane street lane street name sign not fixed
- pot hole on Stanley drive reported

Cllr. George reported that the sign is still on Spalding Road.

No response has been received.

No applications were received this month.

112/21 Parish Matters
Cllr. Allen on the Rota reported a little rubbish in the bus shelter but no problems. As Cllr. Thorpe who is doing the rota in October was not present at the meeting, Cllr. Ingham is willing to take the book to Cllr. Thorpe.
113/21 Sutterton Cemetery
Discussion took place regarding the repair of the cemetery gates, 2 quotes have been received it was proposed by Cllr. Ingham seconded by Cllr. Baker that the contract be awarded to Ronnie Wickes. This was a unanimous decision.
Action the Clerk to contact Mr. Wickes
113/21 Matters to Report
Cllr. Ingham reported a vehicle parked on the footpath outside 43 Park Avenue.
Action Cllr. George to report to Highways
Cllr. Ingham also reported a scam involving solar panels.
Cllr. Sands asked if a poster from SPCT regarding the Christmas dole could be displayed.
114/21 Matters for inclusion in the November agenda
Cllr. Ingham asked that the roadway for the Cemetery be included.
Cllr. Sands asked that Celebrations for the Queens Platinum Anniversary be included.
There being no further business the meeting closed at approx. 8.45pm the next meeting will be on November 3rd, 2021
