MINUTES OF SUTTERTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 1ST AT 6.45PM IN THE COMMUNITY LOUNGE

80/22 Presentation for the Most Pleasing Garden Competition
The Chairman welcomed the winners to the meeting, the standard was again very high, he asked if Cllr’s George & Ingham (who are on the most Pleasing Garden Committee) to present the prizes to the winners.

3rd Prize Mr. J. Johnson
2nd Prize Mrs. Holland
1st Prize Mr. Mrs Singleton
Cllr. Ingham delivered the prizes to Mr. & Mrs. Singleton
81/21 Public Forum
No members of the public were present.
82/21 Chairman’s Comments
The Chairman welcomed all to the September Meeting having congratulated those that had won prizes in the Most Pleasing Garden.
The planters are now past their best and several plants are being removed.
83/21 Apologies for absence and the reasons given
Apologies were received from Cllr. Allen & Cllr. Baker
Apologies were received from the Police
84/21 Receipt of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, and to consider any written requests for dispensations in relation to members disclosable pecuniary interests.
None were received.
85/21 Notes of the last meeting held on July 7th 2021 to be approved as the minutes
It was proposed by Cllr. George seconded by Cllr. Fitchett that the minutes be signed.
86/21 Police Matters
The Police were not present.
87/21 Viewpoints on questions from the public
No members of the public were present.
88/21 Reports from the Minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting
LHP have attended most of the gardens. One resident had not allowed the work to be done.
89/21 Lincolnshire County Council Matters and Boston Borough – information from and for County and Borough Councillors
Cllr. Brookes reported that 1 tonne bags of grit were available to Councils who had parish grit bins.
Action to be discussed at the October Meeting
Appointments were no longer needed at the Tip.
The County Panel are still asking for volunteers.

95/21 Parish Matters
Cllr. George on the Inspection reported that she will be in touch with Cllr. Allen who takes over the Inspection.
The planters near Endeavour Way and on Spalding Roadway are past their best.
Action Cllr. Fitchett is to visit Garden Centres to look into the winter planting
Councillors were reminded that spare compost is in Cllr. Inghams garage
Cllr. Fitchett is to contact Mr. & Mrs. Maltby regarding the Wigtoft Road planter
Complaints are being received regarding the Old Cemetery.
Action the Clerk to contact the Contractor.
