MINUTES OF SUTTERTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 2nd 2022, AT 7.00PM IN THE COMMUNITY LOUNGE

There were no items raised in the public Forum.

 

168/21 Chairman’s Comments

The chairman welcomed Cllr. Maltby to Sutterton Parish Council.

 

169/21 Apologies for absence and the reasons given

Apologies were received from Cllr. Baker and Cllr. Brookes (LCC).

 

170/21 Receipt of Declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, and to consider any written requests for dispensation in relation to members disclosable pecuniary interests

None were received.

 

171/21 Notes of the last meeting held on January 5th & 20th to be agreed as the minutes

It was proposed by Cllr. J. Fitchett and seconded by Cllr. Allen that with one amendment that the minutes be signed.

 

172/21 Matters for the Police

The clerk responded that she hasn’t had a reply to the query regarding Ropers Lane on January 3rd, 2022.

 

173/21 Viewpoints on questions from members of the public

No questions were raised.

 

174/21 Reports from the minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting

Cllr. Fitchett reported that unfortunately nothing could be done about the lorries parking on Station Road whilst trying to deliver to the development site as the roads are not yet completed.

 

175/21 Reports from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting

The clerk reported she has visited the resident who has been cutting the Spires amenity grass and he is willing to continue.

 

176/21 Lincolnshire County Council Matters and Boston Borough - information from and for County and Borough Councillors

Cllr. Cooper reported that HGV’s waiting to deliver to the development site have been asked not to arrive until called.

 

177/21 Correspondence the Council are invited to resolve on

Proposal to expand Fourfields Church of England School, Sutterton

Action the Clerk to forward to Cllr’s

The Chairman & Lady of Lincolnshire County Council – invitation for the Chairman and his wife to attend a service of dedication in celebration of the Queens’ Platinum Jubilee

178/21 Highway matters

Cllr. George reported that a drain cover has been replaced near the BP filling station

Highways have started siding.

Street light 18 on Stanley Drive still not fixed.

Cllr. George is to report a pothole outside 37 Park Avenue.

Cllr. George has received favourable comments regarding the repair done to the area surrounding the post box on Waterbelly Lane, limestone has been replaced, asked who has done the repair Cllr. George reported that it was a collaboration between Highways and the Royal Mail.

 

179/21 Speed Detection Data

Cllr. George reported that the Speed Detection device is on Boston Road.

 

180/21 Planning

B/22/0021 Application for Advertisement Consent for 4no. non-illuminated pole signs at V-ATE Pit stop (Unit 2B A17 Sutterton Roundabout, Sutterton, PE20 2LN).  The application was discussed, and Members had no objections

Action the Clerk to report to the Planning Dept. at the Borough

181/21 Matters for report

 

182/21 Inspection rota for cemetery and play equipment

Cllr George on the inspection rota reported that the picnic tables and the bench in the cemetery need painting.

Action a quote to be obtained

 

183/21 Sutterton Cemetery

The old part of the cemetery was discussed it was agreed to ask the contractor if he could keep on top of this part early in the year

 

184/21 To award the grass cutting tender for 2022

The clerk informed that 2 tenders had been received, discussion took place, after consideration of the merits of the tenders it was agreed unanimously to award the 2022 tender to Aaron Appleby.

 

185/21 Matters for inclusion in the March agenda

Cllr. Maltby requested that discussions regarding a Community Champion be added to the March agenda, he also asked members to consider providing photos and details about themselves.

 

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday March 2nd, 2022, at 7.00pm in the Community Lounge at 7.00pm
