MINUTES OF SUTTERTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY JUNE 1st, 2022, IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM AT THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.00pm

22/17 Chairmans Comments

22/18 Public Forum

The Chairman welcomed all to the June Meeting of Sutterton Parish Council.  The meeting falls in the week of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations and he thanked all the volunteers at Bell Mere and around the village for all their hard work.

22/18 Public Forum

There were no members of the public present, but the Chairman had received a phone call from a resident regarding the cutting of the amenity grass near her home, she thinks it isn’t to her expected standards.  The Parish Council contractor doesn’t cut the area in question.  The Parish Council can not interfere. 

22/19 Apologies for absence and the reasons given

Apologies were received from Cllr. Allen & Cllr. Rushworth, Cllr. Cooper BBC.

22/20 Receipt of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, and to consider any written requests for dispensations in relation to member disclosable pecuniary interests

None were received.

22/21 Notes of the last meeting held on Wednesday May 4th, 2022, to be approved as the Minutes

It was proposed by Cllr. Baker and seconded by Cllr. George that the minutes be signed.

22/22 Matters for the Police

None were received.

22/23 Viewpoints on questions from members of the public

The matter from the public was discussed by members who agreed the Parish Council could not help or get involved.

22/24 Reports from the Minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting

Community litter picker one application was received it was agreed to advertise further for another month

Action The Clerk to contact the applicant

Cllr. Maltby reported on the traffic problems caused by the deliveries to the Heron Site

22/25 Lincolnshire County Council Matters and Boston Borough- information from and for County

and Borough Councillors

Cllr. Brookes talked about County View panel, members supplied their email address’s

22/26 Correspondence received which the Council are invited to resolve on

BBC - Register of Electors - Notice & Alteration June 2022

LCC - Traffic Restriction 05/06/2022 for a Street Party on Pools Drive.

22/27 Highway Matters

Cllr. George reported that the drainage cover has been fixed.

Cllr George has been in contact with TMS who have not collected all their signs.

Potholes were reported on Fishmere End Cllr. George to report .

22/28 Speed Detection Data

The sign is now on Spalding Road.  Cllr. George asked Cllr. Brookes for a meeting with Swineshead Parish Council regarding downloading the data Cllr. Brookes is to ask Cllr. Gibard (Swineshead Chairman) to contact Cllr. George.

The kerbs at Blows Lane have not been replaced.

The drain cover was also not replaced as there was nothing wrong with it.

The surface and kerbs on the roundabout have not been replaced

22/29 Planning

B/22/0216 Extension to Storage Unit with first floor office space for use in conjunction with Agricultural business Wigtoft Road, Sutterton, PE20 2EL

The Council discussed the application and had no objections.

B/22/0244, Acacia House, Rainwalls Lane, Sutterton,PE20 2ED erection of 1.95m close boarded 1.95m close boarded timber Fence

Sutterton Parish Council has discussed the matter and raised concern regarding the finish of the fence

B/22/0199 Single storey extension and internal alterations at White Lilac, Station Road, Sutterton

PE20 2JX

Sutterton Parish Council discussed the application and has no objections.

22/31 To Agree the Annual Governance

It was preposed by Cllr. Fitchett seconded by Cllr. Baker that the Annual Governance be signed.

It was proposed by Cllr. Baker and seconded by Cllr. George that the Annual Accounts be signed.

22/32 Parish Matters

Inspection Cllr. Rushworth on the Inspection Rota has been in Hospital, so his report is not available.

Sutterton Parish Council Correspondence & Social Media Policies

The Clerk has reissued the policies to remind Cllr’s of the correct procedures.

To discuss the Village Hall plans for the QEII Jubilee

Cllr. Ingham, Chairman of the Village Hall Committee updated the Council on the plans.

22/33 Matters for Inclusion in the July Agenda

No matters were raised.

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at 9.25pm

 

The next meeting is on July 6th, 2022, at 7.00pm in the Community
