MINUTES OF SUTTERTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 5th 2022 IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM AT THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.00PM

22/65 Public Forum

There were no members of the public present.

 

22/66 Apologies for absence and the reasons given

Apologies were received from Cllr. Baker, Cllr. Maltby, Cllr. Ruushworth and Cllr. Cooper (BBC).

 

22/67 Receipts of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the localism Act 2011 and to consider any written requests for dispensations in relation to disclosable pecuniary interests

None were received.

 

22/68 Notes of the last meeting held on July 7th to be agreed as the minutes

It was proposed by Cllr. Allen seconded by Cllr. Thorpe that the minutes be signed with one alteration made.

 

22/69 Police matters

No items were raised but the Police vehicles are still noticeable.

 

22/70 Viewpoints on questions from members of the public

No members of the public were present.

 

22/71 Reports from the minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting

The rough sleeper has moved on.

 

22/72 Lincolnshire County Council Matters and Boston Borough – information from and for County and Borough Councillors

Cllr. Brookes informed the Council of https://one.network/uk/lincolnshire where all diversions in Lincolnshire could be checked.

 

22/73 Correspondence received which the Council are invited to resolve on

PKF - External Auditors - The External Audit has been completed.

Copy of letter regarding a safety net for the church tower, under the wooden walkway which is needed for safety reasons when winding the Church Clock.

Sutterton Parochial Charity - Deidre McCumskey, Mrs Craven and John Thorpe have indicated that they wish to put their names forward for a further term of 3 years.

Sutterton Parish Council have no objections with this this.

Action - Clerk to inform Mrs. McCumskey

 

22/74 Highways

Cllr. George reported that Broad Lane hasn’t deteriorated enough for remedial work.

The metal bollards on the B1397 are not being repaired as there are Street lights to help motorists.

Street light no. 7 has been repaired.

 

22/75 Speed Detection Data

No update available.

 

22/76 Community Speed Watch team

Unfortunately, Sutterton cannot find sufficient volunteers to run the team.

 

22/77 Planning B/22/0387 Proposed single storey side extension to cottage at Woodbine Cottage, Green Lane, Sutterton, PE20 2EA.

The application was discussed, and no comments were made.

Action - The Clerk to inform the Borough

It was proposed by Cllr. George Seconded by Cllr. Ingham that the payments be made.

22/79 Inspection rota for cemetery and play equipment

It was proposed by Cllr. Ingham seconded by Cllr. Thorpe that the Old part of the Cemetery be

the strimmed again.

 

22/80 Inspection Rota and The Fence around the Recreational Field

Cllr. Sands on the Rota reported all in order.

 

22/81 Matters to report

Cllr. George reported on of the swings was wrapped over the bar.

 

22/82 Matters for inclusion in the November Agenda

The Clerk to order the Wreaths for Remembrance Sunday.

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at approx. 8.25pm.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday November 2nd.
