MINUTES OF SUTTERTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 2nd AT 7.00PM IN THE COMMUNITY LOUNGE AT THE VILLAGE HALL

22/83 Chairman’s Comments

Cllr. Ingham (vice-chair) reported the planters are ready to be replanted.

 

22/84 Apologies

Apologies were received from Cllr. Fitchett & Cllr. Cooper BBC.

 

22/85 Receipt of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011 and to consider any written requests for dispensation in relation to disclosable pecuniary interests

Cllr’s Allen and Baker disclosed an interest in planning application

 

22/86 Notes of the last meeting held on October 5th 2022 to be approved as the minutes

Two amendments were made.

2 The letter from Cllr. Brookes should read “one.network” where roadworks closures and diversions can be checked and 22/79 should read Cllr. George.   It was proposed by Cllr Baker seconded by Cllr Rushworth that the minutes be signed.

 

22/87 Police Matters

There were no matters for the Police.

 

22/88 Viewpoints on questions from member of the public

No members of the public were present.

 

22/89 Reports from the minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting

Nothing was raised.

22/92 Highway Matters

Cllr. George reported flooding in Blows Lane.

Cllr. Maltby reported that Anglian Water were subsequently pumping the water.

 

22/93 Speed Detection Data

Sutterton are still looking for volunteers.

 

22/94 Community Speed Watch

Unfortunately, Sutterton cannot find the Volunteers to run the team.

 

22/95 Planning

B/22/0401 Proposed commercial warehouse facility including offices, sales area and associated landscaping and parking at land adjacent to Straja, Broad Lane, Sutterton, PE20 2LA

The application was discussed and Sutterton Parish Council has no comments.

Action - Clerk to contact Planning Dept

 

B/22/0405 Outline application for the construction of 8no. dwellings with all matters reserved for later approval @ The Barn, Station Road, Sutterton PE20 2JX

Sutterton Parish Council discussed the application and had no comments.

22/97 To Discuss the introduction of a new accounts package

It was proposed by Cllr. Rushworth and seconded by Cllr. George that the system be installed.             

 

22/98 Inspection Rota

Cllr. Sands on the rota reported - all ok.

 

22/99 Matters for Report

Cllr. George reported the hedge on Station Road – Clerk to contact Sterma’s

Cllr. Maltby asked if the Clerk could obtain Street Poppies - none were available at this time.

Cllr. Sands remarked on the old part of the Cemetery which has been tidied up is looking better for Remembrance Sunday.
