MINUTES OF SUTTRTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY JULY 7TH 2022 IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM AT THE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.00pm

22/34 Public Forum

No members of the public were present.

 

22/35 Chairmans’ Comments

The Chairman Cllr. Fitchett told the meeting that he was disappointed in the Parish Council table at the Gala there were inaccuracies.

 

22/36 Apologies for absence and the reasons given

Apologies were received from Cllr. Brookes (LCC)

 

22/37 Receipt of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, and to consider any written requests of members pecuniary interests

None were received.

 

22/38 Notes of the meeting held on June 1st 2022 to be approved as the minutes

It was proposed by Cllr. George seconded by Cllr. Rushworth that the minutes be signed with one amendment made.

 

22/39 Matters for the Police

There were no matters for the police.

 

22/40 Viewpoints on questions from members of the public

None were received.

 

22/41 Reports from the minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of issues arising since the last meeting

 

22/42 Lincolnshire County Council matters and Boston Borough information from and for County and Borough Councillors

Cllr. Cooper informed the meeting that he has checked the planning restrictions on the nursey in Blows Lane and they are not operating beyond their conditions.

Cllr. Cooper has informed the meeting that Eurotyre had not been granted permission to use the side of the road as requested to store tyres.

22/44 Highway Matters

Cllr. George remarked that the hedge at the entrance to the Endeavour business park overhangs the sign making it hard for drivers.

The potholes on Rainwalls Lane have been repaired.

On the Green Lane sign at the Wigtoft Road junction, the no entry sign has fallen off

 

22/45 Speed Detection Data

Cllr. George reported that the sign is currently on Spalding Road.

Cllr. George asked if the siting of the bracket on Wigtoft Road could be re-sited to a safer place.

22/48 Inspection Rota for cemetery and play equipment

It was proposed by Cllr. Baker seconded by Cllr. Ingham that the payments be made

 

22/48 Matters for report

Cllr. Sands reported that the minutes were not displayed on Council’s Facebook page.

The Clerk replied that she was forwarding the minutes

Cllr. Ingham reported that the grass at the top of the park required strimming, concerns were raised that the Contractor was not at the moment supplying the same quality of work.

Cllr. Maltby again discussed his plans for judging the village Champion and suggested that professional people in the village could form a judging panel.

As Sutterton Parish Council doesn’t meet in August it was decided to have a village walk on August 3rd 2022 @ 6.30pm.

 

22/49 Sutterton Cemetery

The Clerk has a meeting regarding the Garden of Remembrance.

To be an Agenda item at the September meeting

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at approx. 8.30pm

 

The next meeting will be on September 7th 2022 at 7.00pm in the Community Lounge.
