MINUTES OF SUTTERTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON

WENDESDAY APRIL 6TH 2022at  7.00PM IN THE COMMUNITY LOUNGE

200/21 Public Forum

There were no matters raised

 

201/21 Chairman’s Comments

The Chairman has spoken with Cllr. Baker who is presently in a Care-Home, he is not happy with the situation.

The pothole in the Stanley Drive Car park has been repaired the pot-hole on Station Road near the Church has also been been repaired.

 

202/21 Apologies for absence and the reasons given

Apologies were received from  Cllr. Baker, Cllr. Sand &, Cllr. Thorpe

203/21 Receipt of declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, and to consider any written requests for dispensations in relation to members disclosable pecuniary interests

Non were received.

 

204/21 Notes of the last meeting held on March 2nd 2022 to be approved as the minutes.

It was proposed by Cllr. George and seconded by Cllr Ingham  that the minutes be signed.

There were no matters for the police

There were no members of the public present

 

207/21 Reports from the minutes of the previous meeting and report from the Clerk of Issues arising since the last meeting.

There were no matters arising.

Highways Cllr. George reported that the sign is now near the Church

 

211/21 Speed Detection

The devise is now on Station Road  Road Cllr. George asked if the site on Wigtoft Road could be moved

 

212/21 Community Speed Watch

Unfortunately Sutterton Cannot raise a speed watch team

 

213/21 Planning

B/22/0117 Proposed side extension to form a garage including alterations at Rose Cottage, Green Lane, Sutterton PE20 2DEBA

The application was discussed by the meeting it was agreed that the Council had no objections

Action the Clerk to notify the planning department at the Borough

 

B/22/103 Erection of one pair of Semi-detached single storey dwellings to existing including associated site works & alteration & improvements to the existing associated double garage at land to the rear of Fern House, Spalding Road, Sutterton, PE20 2ET

The application was discussed queries were raised about Back yard development and the village envelope.

Action The Clerk to contact the Borough with regard to the queries raised by members

 

214/21 Accounts for payment as per payment sheet 12 of 12 dated March 2022

It was proposed by Cllr. George seconded by Cllr. Fitchett that the payments be made.

 

215/21 Parish Matters

Following the March meeting Mr. Yeomans had decided that he was no-longer interested in joining the Council, the Clerk has contacted the other gentleman that had expressed an interest in the Council lwas present at the meeting, all members present asked questions, following a show of hands it was agreed to ask  Justin Rushworth  to join the Council.

The Clerk informed the meeting that in future she will email the mMinutes and Agenda for the meetins, Any member not able to print their own copy to contact the Clerk

 

216/21 Inspection Rota for Cemetery and play equipment

Cllr, Sands on the Inspection Rota reported by email that all was well and she had nothing to report.

 

217/21 Sutterton Cemetery

The Clerk is to obtain quotes for the renewal of the fence around the Recreational Field.

 

218/21 Discuss the plans for the QE11 Jubilee Celebrations

Cllr. Ingham the Parish Council Representative on the Village Hall Committee, updated the Council on the plans – Cllr. Fitchett is to source some bunting

 

219/21 To Discuss Cllr. Maltby’s suggestions

The Clerk asked for more details of Cllr. Maltby’s suggestions

 

220/21 Matters for inclusion in the May Agenda

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at approx. 8.20pm
